Vehicles registered outside the city that do not comply with BS-VI will not be allowed admission into Delhi.

As directed by the Commission for Air Quality Management, starting on November 1, any commercial goods trucks registered outside of Delhi that do not meet BS-VI standards will not be allowed to enter the nation's capital.
Vehicles that comply with BS-VI are subject to more stringent emission regulations, which helps to reduce pollution.
As a transitional measure, the transport department announced in a public notice that BS-IV commercial goods trucks will be allowed entry into Delhi through October 31, 2026.
However, until October 31, 2026, commercial goods vehicles registered in Delhi, diesel vehicles that comply with BS-VI and BS-IV regulations, and cars that run on electricity, CNG, or LNG would not be prohibited from entering.

The notice further stated that commercial goods vehicles will be subject to limitations under different stages of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) for as long as a specific stage is in effect.
In response to Delhi's pollution problems, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) imposed a broad restriction on the admission of polluting commercial vehicles into the city commencing November 1 in a meeting on October 17.
Transporters expressed anticipation that the government will continue to remove restrictions on BS-IV certified automobiles entering Delhi.
According to Bhim Wadhawa of the All India Motor Transport Congress, BS-IV compliant vehicles will be permitted admission for a period of one year.

The All India Motor and Goods Transport Association's Rajendra Kapoor stated that a conference will be held to decide on the next step.
"The orders were issued by the Supreme Court. We will need to go to court if we want the entrance restrictions for BS-IV compliant automobiles to remain in place even after a year has passed. To determine what has to be done, we will meet the following week," he continued.
