Under Nelson Dilipkumar's direction, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth is presently filming Jailer 2, his next film. Social media is already buzzing with a video of the actor embracing fans while flying in economy to Goa.
Rajinikanth welcomes admirers when in economy.
Fans posted a video of Rajinikanth seated near the front of a plane online. He gets up and gives the audience a quick wave before he sits down again as many of the passengers pull out their phones and cheer. Some fans even clap for him, and the airline employees appear to be smiling as well. It's noteworthy to note that Rajinikanth was not in business class as one might anticipate, but rather in economy.
"Superstar #Rajinikanth's charisma transforms a flight into a miniature play! One fan reposted the video on X (previously Twitter) and added, "On his way to Goa for the #Jailer2 next schedule." Someone else commented, "Very lucky fans." "Rajinikanth in an economy seat — yet the aura around him feels first class," one ecstatic admirer even commented. Many fans also expressed how "lucky" they were to be among the fans who had the opportunity to meet him.
In 2024, Rajinikanth starred in TJ Gnanavel's Vettaiyan and his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth's Lal Salaam. He starred in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie this year, which brought in ₹518 crore globally.
He is now filming the follow-up to his 2023 blockbuster, Jailer, in which he played "Tiger" Muthuvel Pandian. Shiva Rajkumar said that he will make a cameo appearance in the movie, while Ramya Krishnan will also reprise her role. Balakrishna will be crucial to it as well.
There are also rumours that Rajinikanth will co-star and produce a movie with Kamal Haasan. Although both performers have repeatedly affirmed the project, no formal announcement regarding the movie or its director has been made.
