On Tuesday evening, a man was apprehended by Secret Service agents after he crashed his vehicle into a security barrier outside the White House.
According to the US Secret Service, the incident happened Tuesday at approximately 10:37 p.m. at the security gate at a White House entry. The individual was apprehended right away by uniformed division officers of the agency, it added.

Investigators checked his vehicle and found it to be safe, according to a Secret Service statement posted on X.

No other details about the collision, the identity of the arrested driver, or any possible reason for the occurrence have been released by the authorities.
