A woman from Bhubaneswar was "raped and murdered" in Hyderabad; her family makes grave accusations

Late Thursday night, an Odia woman was allegedly raped and killed in Hyderabad's Kompally neighbourhood, which is under the Pet-Basheerabad police boundaries. According to reports, the woman, who was originally from Bharatpur in Bhubaneswar, had spent the previous six months in Hyderabad with her husband and their four-year-old son.The woman and her family were living in the quarters of a private construction company in Kompally, where her husband was employed in the electronic repair department, according to early information. She lived in the same block as her husband and son and had been teaching the kids of corporate employees. Before starting his new job in Dubai, her husband, who had just landed a position there, travelled to Bhubaneswar last Saturday with their son to fix a mistake on his passport.

Following the clearance of his paperwork, the couple had intended to get back together.Tragic events, however, occurred late on Wednesday night when the husband allegedly got a call from a worker at his job telling him that his wife had become ill. After learning that his wife had passed away under mysterious circumstances, he was alarmed and took a plane to Hyderabad this morning. The woman was allegedly sexually raped and killed, according to a complaint the woman's relatives filed with the Pet-Basheerabad police. They have also made contact with the Odisha district collector of Khordha, hoping for a fair investigation and prompt justice. The deceased woman's mother described her experience and made a number of accusations that she said were important leads in the inquiry.

She claimed that a man broke into the woman's room on Thursday night and took refuge beneath the bed. The woman went to sleep without realising this, but the unnamed man later raped and killed her.

She added that the recordings provided by the woman's neighbours, who saw the accused leaving the flat apparently intoxicated, supported her allegations.
