On Tuesday, Surta Parmar, 38, was occupied with her usual tasks at her residence in Dharti Mata village in the Dungarpur region of Rajasthan when a thud and disturbance interrupted her routine. She was taken aback as she hurried outside to investigate the cause of the disturbance. A automobile had fallen near a pond, and people had gathered there, but nothing was being done to save the people inside.
While some bystanders recorded the car in the pond, Parmar decided to take matters into her own hands. She saved the lives of a couple and their 11-month-old boy by saving them from the car and assisting in their quick transportation to a hospital.
approximately 200 meters from Parmar's house, the couple, Dharmesh Yadav and Shilpa, and their son, Drish, were traveling from Dungarpur to Banswara for a wedding when their automobile struck a barrier, lost control, and fell into the pond approximately ten feet below the surface.
Parmar claimed that she realized it was a terrible accident as soon as she left her home. "Dharmesh Yadav and Shilpa had passed out... "I heard the infant sobbing," Parmar remarked.
Ayushi, Parmar's 15-year-old daughter, followed mom with ropes as she waded into the ocean. She claimed that the glasses were rolled up and the car was locked. She had to use a rod to shatter the glass. Parmar claimed that after saving Drish, she dragged Shilpa and Dharmesh Yadav—who were stranded in the rear seat—out of the vehicle.
In addition, Parmar discovered that Yadav, a Block Level Officer, had a stack of enumeration forms in the car following a survey conducted as part of the Special Intensive Review of the electoral roll. Three cell phones and a laptop were also present.
Drish and his parents were taken to a nearby hospital, where the 11-month-old received treatment before being released. The pair, who had several fractures and had surgery, were sent to a hospital in Udaipur, where they were safe.
Shilpa's uncle, Dinesh Yadav, claimed that nobody in the crowd had the courage to intervene to save his niece, her husband, and their son. "We would have lost my niece and her family if Surta Parmar hadn't been there," Dinesh Yadav remarked.
According to Parmar, she had a conversation with Yadav on Wednesday. "A member of their family later visited my house to steal the devices and the official documents."
According to Parmar, her mother lost her fight with cancer approximately ten years later, and her father left them when she was just a month old. "I didn't think saving the Yadavs was brave. Without his parents, what would that infant do? Even after hearing his cry, how could I have stopped myself?
