Amit Shah will dedicate IFFCOs sulphuric acid factory in Paradip, which would improve fertiliser production.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will dedicate the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited's (IFFCO) Sulphuric Acid Plant (SAP-III) to the country on Friday at its Paradip facility in Odisha.
IFFCO developed the new plant at its fertiliser complex in Paradip, as part of a larger attempt to bolster the country's fertiliser production infrastructure.
The plan also aims to advance Prime Minister Narendra Modi's goal of 'Sahkar se Samriddhi', which focuses on developing the cooperative sector.Dedication of the Sulphuric Acid Plant in Paradip
During his visit, Shah will formally dedicate the Sulphuric Acid Plant (SAP-III) located at IFFCO's Paradip facility. The facility is expected to improve production capacity at the fertiliser complex while also supporting the overall operation of the cooperative fertiliser industry.
Sulphuric acid is an important raw element used in the production of phosphate-based fertilisers, which are widely utilised in agriculture. The commissioning of SAP-III at the Paradip site is intended to improve the availability of critical inputs used in fertiliser manufacturing.In the fertiliser industry, sulphuric acid is critical to guaranteeing a consistent supply of fertilisers required for crop production. The new factory is expected to complement the fertiliser production chain and contribute to farmers' supply stability.
Cooperative Sector Initiatives Will Be Launched
Following the plant's dedication, the Union Home Minister will visit the IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar to inaugurate and launch a number of cooperative sector activities.
These include the announcement of the State Cooperative Policy, the signing of a memorandum of understanding to establish a school under Tribhuvan Cooperative University, and another MoU to revive Badamba Sugar Industries. Shah will also establish 1,567 Common Service Centers run by Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and Large Area Multipurpose Societies (LAMPS).The program will also include the virtual inauguration of need-based infrastructure for 141 PACS, the launch of the RCS Office Portal, the digital launch of National Cooperative Organics Limited's Direct-to-Consumer portal, the launch of Coop Marque created by National Cooperative Exports Limited, and the introduction of Savidya, an AI-enabled multilingual digital learning platform.
Initiatives connected to the Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers' Federation will also be presented to help develop the dairy industry. In total, 69 projects worth Rs 1,159 crore will be inaugurated, and foundation stones for 130 projects worth more than Rs 2,116 crore will be placed.
