The return trip of Mahaprabhu Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra from the Gundicha Temple to the Srimandir, known as Bahuda Yatra, is scheduled to start today, putting the sacred city of Puri under increased surveillance.
Authorities have implemented complex security and traffic plans in anticipation of the Bahuda Yatra, the final stage of the yearly Rath Yatra celebrations, to guarantee the seamless movement of pilgrims and the chariots.
The pilgrim town has increased security throughout, with a focus on traffic control, crowd management, and the handling of enormous gatherings that are anticipated along the procession route. To guarantee that devotees attending the festival enjoy a safe and orderly experience, officials have put in place a number of precautions.

There are 31 designated parking spaces for devotees
Parking facilities have been set up at 31 locations in and around Puri as part of the traffic control plan. Additionally, special plans have been put in place for cars coming into the town from Bhubaneswar.
Over 18,000 motorbikes and about 7,330 light vehicles are expected to fit in the parking scheme. To handle the anticipated increase in cars and pilgrims during the Bahuda Yatra, authorities have also tightened traffic regulations and diversionary tactics.
The Bahuda Yatra is in danger of rain
The weather is still a problem in the interim. Due to a strong southwest monsoon and a trough line, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall in a number of Odisha regions through July 28.The Bahuda Yatra may be impacted by rain, according to the weather office, therefore authorities and devotees should be ready for any changes in the weather.
Prithviraj Harichandan, the law minister for Odisha, had already denied claims of poor management during the Rath Yatra. He stated that the government was concentrating on making sure that the darshan arrangements for the Bahuda Yatra were orderly and seamless and that sufficient plans were made for the three deities' safe return trip to the Srimandir.
