Undeniably, 'Sandese aate hain...' is the soul of Border and the makers are all set to recreate the magic with 'Sandese aate hain 2.0 in Border 2. However, the new avatar of the iconic song seems to have got bigger as Arijit Singh has reportedly joined Sonu Nigam.
According to an exclusive report by Pinkvilla, producer Bhushan Kumar along with JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta, has acquired the rights of 'Sandese aate hain...' from the original stakeholders. Reportedly, Kumar acquired the rights for Rs 60 lakh, which is among the highest prices that a producer has spent to recreate a melody.
A source revealed to the entertainment portal that Kumar knows the importance of the cult song and left no stone unturned to get the rights. Moreover, he is confident that the revamped patriotic song is a long-term investment that will yield great returns.
Sandese aate hain 2.0' will be a tribute to the Indian Army as it speaks about the hardships of the Indian Armed Forces. The new avatar of the iconic song merges the original version with a modern touch.
The report quoted the source as saying, "The work on Sandese Aate Hai 2.0 has been going on for the longest time and the makers have cracked a version that justifies the legacy of the first part."
Further, the source also revealed that Sandese Aate Hai 2.0 will be sung by Sonu Nigam with Arijit Singh and it will be picturised on Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh, among others.
