Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane made it big with her Bollywood debut in 2016's Sanam Teri Kasam. The audience loved her emotional character portrayal alongside Harshvardhan Rane. With its re-release, Sanam Teri Kasam scripted history and fans were anticipating her comeback with Sanam Teri Kasam 2. However, her recent negative remarks on Operation Sindoor irked her Indian fans. Now, Harshvardhan has decided to decline Sanam Teri Kasam 2 if the Pakistani actress comes on board.

Harshvardhan Rane's Decision on Sanam Teri Kasam 2

On Saturday, Harshvardhan Rane took to Instagram stories and wrote, "While I am grateful for the experience however as things stand, and after reading the direct comments made about my country, I have made a decision to respectfully decline to be a part of Sanam Teri Kasam Part 2 if there is any possibility of the previous cast being repeated." (sic)

Though in his first post, he didn't name anyone, in his second post on Instagram Stories, he shared a screenshot of Mawra Hocane's negative remarks on the Indian Army and Operation Sindoor. 

Sharing the screenshot, Rane wrote, "I respect all artists and humans of this country, that country, Kenya and even Mars, but this kind of derogatory remarks about my country by anyone is unpardonable." (sic)

He further added, "Am okay with losing out on followers on Instagram, but won't allow anyone to walk over the pride and upbringing. Standing by your country is good, but disrespectful, hateful remarks about other country is not." (sic)

Notably, amid the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Mawra Hocane, on Saturday took to social media and wrote, “Strongly condemn India’s cowardly attack on Pakistan… Innocent civilians have lost their lives. May Allah protect us all… may sense prevail. Ya Allah ho Ya Hafizo. #PakistanZindabad." (sic)

Mawra Hocane's negative remarks on the Indian Army and Operation Sindoor ignited outrage across social media, particularly among Indian fans, who once praised her performance in Sanam Teri Kasam.

Meanwhile, Harshvardhan Rane's decision to decline Sanam Teri Kasam 2 if Mawra comes on board, has been lauded by fans.
