Because of the advancements in artificial intelligence that Microsoft Corp. has witnessed, Satya Nadella's compensation has increased to the greatest level since he took over as CEO more than ten years ago.
Following quarterly results that "show that Satya Nadella and his leadership team have positioned Microsoft as a clear AI leader for this generational technology shift," the company wrote in a note to shareholders included in a regulatory filing released Tuesday that the India-born CEO will receive a salary of $96.5 million in Fiscal 2025 compared to $79.1 million in Fiscal 2024.

According to the filing, Microsoft stated that around 90% of Nadella's pay, which includes a $2.5 million salary, is in Microsoft stock. In 2014, he was appointed as the third CEO of Microsoft.
