It's possible that director Aryan Khan is preparing to explore the realm of Indian superheroes. Social media is ablaze with rumours that the young director has agreed to helm a Super Commando Dhruva movie for Raj Comic, with actor Lakshya playing the title role, following the positive reception of his directorial debut, The Ba***ds of Bollywood.
Unverified web rumours claim that Aryan has reached an agreement with a well-known Indian comic book publisher and even cast actor Lakshya in the starring role. Reddit and YouTube posts also state that an official teaser is anticipated in January 2026, and the movie is probably going to start production shortly after.
Manoj Gupta, the creator of Raj Comics, said that the company is in fact nearing an agreement for several films when HT contacted him, but he would not comment on Aryan's role. "A three-film deal for Nagraj and Super Commando Dhruva is nearing completion and is anticipated to begin production by the end of 2026. He acknowledged the excitement of Raj Comics fans on the rumours, but added, "I cannot confirm the involvement of any actor, director, or studio."
The same was said by Ayush Gupta, Studio Head of Raj Comics, who acknowledged that discussions are still going on but would not provide specifics.
Nevertheless, the project has not received any reliable industry validation. According to reports, the rumours started with a single YouTube comment and have since spread among fan communities that are excited for the film debut of Raj Comics' well-loved characters, such as Nagraj and Dhruva.
However, if Aryan were to embark on such a project, it would represent an interesting change for him—from a realistic industrial parody to a full-fledged superhero show influenced by Indian popular culture. Filmmakers such as Anurag Kashyap have been experimenting with the notion of making Raj Comics' heroes into motion pictures for years.
