Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, "It's entombed," and that he "doesn't like" the concept of the US military carrying it out. Trump has consistently stated that Iran will not be allowed to retain its highly enriched uranium stockpile, making its removal or destruction a crucial prerequisite in ongoing US-Iran peace negotiations. This is a modest departure from his previous position.
If an agreement is struck between the two nations, the US leader added that he would be "honoured" to meet Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran's next Supreme Leader.When questioned about a potential meeting with the Iranian leader, whose father and predecessor, Ali Khamenei, was killed on February 28 at the start of the US-Israeli assault on Iran, Trump responded, "I don't want to meet, but if I did meet, I'd be honoured to meet him."I'd like to see if we can reach an agreement, but if we do, I might get to see him," he continued.Following the death of his father in the US-Israeli strike, 54-year-old Islamic cleric Khamenei was appointed Iran's supreme leader.

Despite some of his family members being targeted by Israeli and American forces, the US leader stated that he expects Khamenei to remain "professional.""We killed his father, his wife and his son, so I'm probably not his favourite person... [But] in some circles, he has a very good reputation, actually," Trump stated.
Trump responded, "I haven't really heard too much about it," when asked where he would meet the Iranian leader. Some people have proposed it, but I didn't."

Trump added that the US could obtain enriched uranium from Iran without a deal.Right now, we could obtain it. If we wanted to, I don't think they could stop us, but there's no reason to. He informed reporters, "It's entombed."
