Heatwave grips Odisha, with Jharsuguda sizzling at 39.6 degrees Celsius.

The spike in daytime temperatures since the beginning of March has exacerbated hot conditions across Odisha, with Jharsuguda recording the highest temperature of 39.6 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, while the current heat is projected to linger, no significant temperature shift is expected across the state over the next five days.
Temperature Trends across the State
Since the beginning of March, rising daytime temperatures have resulted in warmer conditions in numerous sections of the state. Jharsuguda reported the highest temperature of 39.6 degrees Celsius during the last 24 hours, showing a progressive increase in heat levels.Meteorological officials predict that the overall temperature trend will stay rather constant in the next days. Despite the lack of large temperature variations, the current warm temperatures are likely to persist across Odisha.
Forecast for the Coming Days
The Regional Meteorological Centre has announced that there would be no notable temperature changes across the state during the next five days. As a result, the current hot conditions are predicted to prevail during this time.However, the weather pattern in some areas of the state may alter later this week.

According to the projection, weather conditions in North Odisha will likely change by March 8. Rainfall may be accompanied by lightning and thunder in the region.The development may provide brief relief in locations where temperatures have consistently risen since the start of the month.
