"How Much More?" Suryakumar Yadav Reveals Chat With England Captain Harry Brook Following 7-Run Win

Captain Suryakumar Yadav acknowledged that his heart rate increased to "160-175" during the frantic final stages of the semifinal, as India defeated England to advance to their second consecutive T20 World Cup final on Thursday. Defending champions India beat England by seven runs in a high-scoring quarterfinal at Wankhede Stadium. "It is an awesome feeling. Obviously, playing in India and leading such a fantastic team, as well as travelling to Ahmedabad to play in the World Cup final. During the post-match presentation, Suryakumar stated, "I believe it is a special feeling for all of the boys."

"Was very nervous, heart rate would've been 160-175," he told me.
Sent in to bat, opener Samson hammered seven sixes and eight fours on his way to a 42-ball 89, helping India record a daunting 253.
Shivam Dube (43), Ishan Kishan (39), Hardik Pandya (27), and Tilak Varma (21) also contributed with quick strikes.
"I believe he knew what he intended to do as soon as he stepped up to bat. Even after a wicket fell, he knew it was good and kept pounding the pedal. He batted just what the team required. It was due after all of his hard work over the previous year. It was a unique knock today."But is 253 enough? "I told Harry [Brook] how much more we needed to score against them. "They were always in the chase, but the way the bowlers took the game away was unbelievable," he remarked.
Chasing the enormous total, Jacob Bethell's magnificent 105 off 48 balls fell short as England finished on 246 for seven in 20 overs, with Bumrah (1/33) emerging as the most efficient bowler, bowling superbly at the death. "Pandya (2/38) took two wickets."We all know Bumrah's capabilities and what he has done for India over the years. He did the same thing today, raising his hand and demonstrating character to take the game away from them. It was a memorable bowling performance.

"The way Bumrah, Arshdeep, and the other guys pulled it back was incredible," Suryakumar remarked.
"We have to pay tribute to T Dilip, our fielding coach. The boys are reacting wonderfully. Guys have gone above and above, and it is showing." India will meet New Zealand at the summit on Sunday.
"There will undoubtedly be pressure and nerves, particularly when playing in India and competing for the crown. But the boys and the entire support crew are also enthusiastic," India's captain remarked.
