HTLS 2025: According to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the rupee will reach its own level.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated on Saturday at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit (HTLS) 2025 that the rupee will reach its own level. She was responding to a query on whether the value of the Indian rupee is currently a bit too high in relation to the US dollar.
while asked about the political and nationalist implications of the currency's natural decline, Nirmala Sitharaman admitted that her party had brought up the subject of a declining rupee while they were in the opposition, but she stated that the economic conditions had changed by then.

"Look at the economic fundamentals, where we stand, and certain very key variables that put India on a very different ledge... These realities will have to limit this currency debate, according to Nirmala Sitharaman.
Due to selling pressure from foreign investors and rising crude oil prices, the rupee hit a new all-time low of 90.43 on Wednesday, December 3.
The rupee recovered on Thursday, closing at 89.89 after gaining 26 paise.
Forex traders claim that the US dollar declined after US non-farm payroll statistics fell well short of expectations. The rupee was supported at lower levels by the US dollar index's weakness.
