According to government figures released on Friday, India's budget deficit from April to October was ₹8.25 trillion ($92.26 billion), or 52.6% of the projected amount for the fiscal year that ended on March 31.

* Net tax receipts were ₹12.74 trillion, compared to ₹13.05 trillion during the same time last year.
* Non-tax revenue was ₹4.89 trillion as opposed to ₹4 trillion in the previous year.
* The total amount spent by the government was ₹26.26 trillion, up from ₹24.7 trillion the previous year.
* Capital expenditure, or the amount spent on constructing physical infrastructure, increased to ₹6.18 trillion from ₹4.7 trillion in the previous year.
