Jammu: Following the demolition of a journalists house, a neighbor offers land.

A neighbor offered to give the impacted family a plot of land a day after the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) demolished the run-down home of social media journalist Arfaz Ahmad Daing in Jammu's Narwal neighborhood, according to PTI.
The journalist's family in Jammu's Transport Nagar area was presented with a five-marla plot by Kuldeep Kumar, who paid them a visit with his daughter.
Kumar told reporters, "I am gifting five marlas of land through my daughter to the family so that my brother can rebuild his house," according to PTI.
Additionally, Kumar, whose social media announcement video went viral, promised to help the journalist with the build.

On Thursday, the JDA, assisted by the police, demolished the home of journalist Arfaz Ahmad Daing. The JDA claims that the demolition campaign is a component of continuous attempts to remove encroachments from its property throughout Jammu. According to HT, a structure in Kangan, central Kashmir, was also destroyed the day before.
JDA's decision, according to Daing, the owner of the new portal Seher News, was taken without warning and was a "message" to the journalists who told the truth in opposition to the government.
Political conflict is sparked by demolition
Political controversy has also been triggered by the demolition, with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the BJP engaging in a blame game.Abdullah has charged that the administration of the lieutenant governor is engaging in politically motivated bulldozer tactics to "malign" the elected government.
Bulldozers are being used by Raj Bhawan's appointed staff without consulting the relevant minister or obtaining approval from an elected government. According to HT, CM Omar Abdullah told reporters in Srinagar, "It's a ploy to defame the elected government."
"We have stated time and time again that we should appoint staff departments under our purview. CM Omar Abdullah told reporters in Srinagar, "The elected government should appoint the CEOs of development authorities and the revenue staff."

However, former Jammu and Kashmir BJP head Ravinder Raina called the demolition "selective" and promised the locals his full support.
"Seeing this hurt me. Our Prime Minister is in favor of building homes for the underprivileged rather than tearing them down. He praised Kuldeep Kumar's act as a sign of harmony in Jammu and Kashmir and stated, "We will ensure all help."
In addition, Raina pointed firearms at the Omar Abdullah administration, stating, "The Lieutenant Governor has not used the bulldozer." He told me that no such directives had been given. From whence did the order originate? I refuse to make it political.

Additionally, he denied that the LG's administration was involved in the demolition effort. "It has nothing to do with the management of LG. He hasn't done anything. Since we are not an elected government in J&K, neither the BJP government nor the LG administration can be held accountable. What happened wrong is only known by the elected government led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, according to Raina.
