"He was my brother, and we are especially feeling his absence today on his birthday," a singer's relative stated. When we were younger, we used to celebrate his birthday together. We would wish him over the phone when he moved to Bhubaneswar after becoming a singer. He is sadly no longer with us; the loss is excruciating.
"We were very proud that he became such a successful singer," he continued. People recognised us as his family, which made us very happy and proud. I hope his soul finds peace.
His town celebrated the event in silence, demonstrating the singer's ongoing ties to his heritage.
