Shreyas Iyer is defeated by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, and the PBKS captain makes a daring "Future" statement.

The influence of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has affected every single person in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The opening hitter for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) has left an impression on both his opponents and teammates. The 15-year-old Sooryavanshi was praised by Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer, who acknowledged that he is a unique talent and "one for the future." Iyer, who is now competing for a berth in India's Twenty20 International team, went on to say that words cannot adequately explain his tremendous batting abilities.

Sooryavanshi has scored 246 runs in six innings thus far, averaging 41 at a strike rate of 236.53. "He is incredibly talented, and there aren't many terms to describe him. Iyer stated on JioStar's "Believe," "I think he is one for the future because of the way he has that bat flow, the rhythm and momentum he creates before the delivery."
Iyer has been playing well, scoring 208 runs in six innings with a strike-rate of 182.45 and an average of 52. He also thought back to his instinctive stroke off Jasprit Bumrah in the IPL 2025 second qualifier, which was a pivotal moment in PBKS's runners-up finish.

"It was entirely instinctive. I was attempting to strike him directly to the ground. I had the idea in the back of my head that I would go straight after him wherever he bowled. Your body moves in a specific flow while your brain remains motionless when you are in that position.
"You have to trust your gut when you are up against the world's finest bowler, who masterfully executes his angles and deliveries. I also valued the opportunity to play that shot and aim it at the third man while the field was in.I knew we would have to return and play there after a day, so I didn't celebrate. Your heart rate fluctuates when you express emotions.
