Smriti Irani shares her thoughts on Kyunkis comparison to Anupamaa, saying, "You can be our competition when."

The recurring comparisons between her program and Rupali Ganguly's cult classic Anupama were recently addressed by Smriti Irani, who returned to her legendary role as Tulsi Virani in the revamp of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Irani was asked how she feels about being continuously compared to Anupama and its main star Rupali Ganguly in an interview with India Today. The former Union Minister, however, was prepared with a witty reply.
She remarked, "I don't (consider them as competitors)." "So you can compete with us when someone reaches number 30 in terms of TRPs, right? Twenty-five years ago, we were there. We shall discuss competition if you have the ability to be remembered for twenty-five years.

The politician-actor, who is renowned for her direct demeanour, reminded everyone that Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi used to dominate television with viewership that broke records. "If you want to compete, you have to treat everyone fairly in the so-called competitive sphere, regardless of whether you have been a three-time MP, a cabinet minister for ten years, or a member of the BJP for twenty-five years." Do you meet all of these requirements? After that, compete. Someone who has just begun anything cannot be told to "compete with Smriti Irani."

When considering the show's enduring impact, Irani noted how uncommon it is for a daily soap opera to return after 25 years and yet receive such a warm reception. Since you'll never reach 30, the competition—or even the mention of one—is unjust. And you will never hold the top spot for eight years in a row, like we did. It's amazing that despite having competition media, we were able to return after 25 years.
