The most vocal opponent of Virat Kohli implores him to stay in Test cricket.

It has been learnt that Virat Kohli has expressed about his plan to BCCI to retire from  Test cricket. Though Ambati Rayudu is one of the biggest critics of Kohli, the former India cricketer has requested Kohli not to retire from the longest format of the game.

After taking several potshots at Kohli, the former Indian batter has taken a drastic U-turn. Rayudu took to social media with an emotional plea, urging Kohli to continue entertaining the fans across the world with his game in the whites.

Rayudu urged the former India captain to reconsider his decision, as he believes that the right-handed batter still has a lot to offer to Indian cricket in the traditional format of the game.

"Virat Kohli, please don’t retire… The Indian team needs you more than ever. You have so much more in the tank. Test cricket will not be the same without you walking out to battle it out for Team India… Please reconsider…,"Rayudu wrote on his social media account X (earlier known as Twitter.

As per the latest report, BBCCI is likely to force Kohli to abstain from his decision of taking retirement from Test cricket.

Notably, Kohli has played 123 Tests and scored 9230 runs. The prolific batter has also led India in 68 matches.
