The Odisha government will present a supplemental budget of Rs 10,000 crore to the Assembly today.

The state administration is expected to offer a supplemental budget of about Rs 10,000 crore on Friday afternoon, setting up an intense session for the Odisha Legislative Assembly on the second day of the Winter Session.
The first supplemental budget for the 2025–2026 fiscal year will be presented in the House by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, according to reports.

The Assembly will hold Question Hour for important departments, such as School & Mass Education, Higher Education, Industries, Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes Development, Sports & Youth Services, Skill Development, Odia Language, Literature & Culture, and Social Security, in addition to the budget presentation. The questions on the list will also be brought up by legislators.

Both the Treasury Bench and the Opposition are set to bring up a number of important concerns during the anticipated busy Zero Hour. On issues it deems urgent, the Congress is scheduled to file a motion for adjournment.
The House is expected to witness intense discussions throughout the day due to the anticipated big debates and political conflicts.
President Droupadi Murmu's speech in the House on Thursday marked the start of the Odisha Legislative Assembly's winter session. "Whatever I am today, the credit goes to this House," President Murmu remarked during her speech, expressing her thanks. It is a pleasure to be here. Although I have addressed other state legislatures in the past, speaking to the Odisha Assembly is a special occasion.

She continued by saying that she would not be in her current position without Mahaprabhu Jagannath's blessings.
