The second round of Odisha Assembly Budget Session will commence today.

The second phase of the Odisha Legislative Assembly's Budget Session begins today, with the proceedings expected to be fraught with strong discussions and disturbances, as was the previous session.
Political tension is expected to remain high inside the House as both the ruling party and the opposition prepare to raise a number of critical topics during the session.
The opposition is likely to corner the government.
The opposition is expected to attack the administration on a variety of issues, including alleged anomalies in mandis, the Mahanadi water conflict, the peace and order situation, and the claimed failure to use monies given in the previous budget.These topics are expected to dominate talks, potentially leading to heated debate in the Assembly.
Key Departments during Question Hour
Several critical questions about key departments, such as Finance, Home, General Administration and Public Grievances, and Health and Family Welfare, are expected to be raised during the Question Hour.
Furthermore, both the government and opposition parties are anticipated to address a number of critical issues during the Zero Hour.The second half of the session will run from March 9 to April 8. The Rajya Sabha elections are expected to take place during the session, therefore political activity in the Assembly may increase even more.
