Three people were murdered when a sand-laden Hyva truck hit a motorcycle in Bhubaneswar.

Three motorbike riders were murdered in a horrific road accident in Bhubaneswar late Friday night after a sand-laden Hyva truck collided with their vehicle at Anantapur, within the Pahala police station limits.
According to preliminary reports, the identities of the three deceased riders have yet to be determined. The driver of the Hyva truck allegedly departed the area right after the collision.
The accident occurred about 12:30 AM.
The accident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. According to police, the sand-laden Hyva truck hit the motorcycle from behind before running over the riders, killing them instantly on the spot.After learning about the occurrence, officers from the Pahala police station went to the scene, rescued the remains, and transported them to Capital Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Probe is underway; identity has yet to be established.
Police are currently attempting to identify the dead using the motorcycle's registration number. The initial suspicion is that the motorcycle involved in the crash was stolen.
Authorities are also attempting to contact the owner of the Hyva truck. Meanwhile, police have initiated an inquiry with the help of locals and by reviewing CCTV footage from surrounding places.
Questions have also been raised about how three people were riding on the same motorcycle at the time of the accident. A further inquiry into the situation is currently underway.
