TMC MP Mahua Moitras accusations against Odisha police are refuted by the BJP.

After Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra accused the Odisha Police of forcibly removing four Bengali-speaking people from the Nayagarh area, a political dispute erupted between Odisha and West Bengal. The Odisha BJP vehemently denied her accusations, claiming that police officers have been carrying out their jobs in a responsible manner and that the State is still committed to taking action against suspected unlawful Bangladeshi infiltrators.
The Odisha administration is dedicated to expelling illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators from the state, BJP leaders further explained. They emphasized that the state government will continue to take decisive action if suspicious people were discovered, characterizing the police response as both essential and legal.

Row's background
The controversy started when Moitra uploaded a video to her X profile alleging that the four people, who lived in the Murshidabad area of West Bengal, had been selling winter clothing in Nayagarh for the last eighteen years.
"Attention @DGPOdisha @spnayagarh, you have illegally thrown out four Bengali-speaking Indian citizens from Nayagarh district simply because they were Bengalis," she stated in her post. We show love and respect to the thousands of Odiya cooks, gardeners, plumbers, and other workers in Bengal. You'll pay for what you do. Be cautious. In a subsequent post, Moitra said, "Hello @spnayagarh S Susree IPS-Odagaon." Four Bengali migrants, all legitimate Indian nationals with complete documentation, were told to leave the district by PS Odisha. threatened to have them arrested and put pressure on the landlord to evict them. Despite personnel being verified by @SPMurshidabad. This is against the law and our constitution. Prepare yourself because I'm taking you to court."
The BJP insisted that the State government's actions were only intended to address unlawful infiltration, but the TMC MP persisted in accusing the Odisha Police of violating constitutional rights.
