Trump commends PM Modi, saying, "Friend Of Mine From India, Hes Doing Great"

In the midst of continuing diplomatic efforts regarding West Asian and regional security issues, US President Donald Trump referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a "friend" on Thursday and claimed to have had a "very good talk" with the Indian leader.
"I had a very good talk with him, and he's a friend of mine from India, and he's doing great," President Trump stated in response to an inquiry from ANI regarding his conversation with Prime Minister Modi. We had an excellent discussion.
The comments were made a few days after Prime Minister Modi claimed to have had a call from President Trump in which the two leaders discussed important strategic issues, such as maritime security, and examined the situation in West Asia."I got a call from President Donald Trump, my friend. We discussed the significant advancements made in our bilateral collaboration in a number of areas. In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi stated, "We are dedicated to further strengthening our Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership in all areas."
He added that the presidents talked about issues related to regional security, such as the necessity of maintaining peace along vital sea lanes.The Prime Minister said, "We also talked about the West Asian situation and emphasised how crucial it is to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and secure."
Sergio Gor, the US ambassador to India, also called the conversation "a very positive and productive call" in a post on X.In response to PM Modi's post, he wrote, "A very positive and productive call! Stay tuned..."
The two leaders' most recent conversation takes place in the context of increased diplomatic activity in West Asia as international powers work to control tensions and safeguard important maritime routes.
Following increased diplomatic efforts to lessen hostilities in the area, President Trump said on Thursday that Israel and Lebanon had struck an agreement to begin a 10-day ceasefire.
The US President stated that he had "excellent conversations" with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, and that as part of larger peace efforts, both sides had agreed to a temporary truce."Marco Rubio," Trump remarked, alluding to recent high-level discussions.

"Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and senior military leadership have been tasked with continuing diplomatic efforts toward a lasting settlement," he added."I have instructed Secretary of State Rubio, Vice President JD Vance, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan 'Razin' Caine to collaborate with Israel and Lebanon to establish a durable peace," Trump declared.I've had the privilege of resolving nine conflicts worldwide, and this will be my tenth, so let's finish it," he continued.
