According to researchers, artificial intelligence has been used to create a "fundamentally new" kind of vaccination that could guard against a wide range of diseases and stop pandemics.
According to the University of Cambridge team, this is the first time a crucial component of a vaccine has been completely created by AI and then tested in humans.
The vaccination was designed to combat all coronaviruses, including animal-infecting viruses and Covid variations, but it may also initiate the next pandemic.

The Cambridge researchers used existing genetic codes, or life's instruction manuals, from a variety of coronaviruses that had been identified by monitoring programs looking for possible viral dangers.
An artificial intelligence was used to analyse these genetic codes. Then, it created a "super-antigen" that could teach the immune system to provide defence against the entire family of viruses, even if they underwent mutations or a new infection spread from animals to humans.According to Heeney, this was the first time an AI-designed antigen had been tested on humans. "Surprising all of us" and "amazing what we can do with it for the good of humanity" are how he described the technology.
Heeney said to BBC News: "This is about making vaccines that protect us, not just from today's viruses, but protect us from what can cause the next outbreak or disease."This is a significant change in the way we get ready for pandemics.
The purpose of the 39-person trials was to determine the safety of these vaccinations. A second trial with about 200 participants will provide more insight into how successfully the immune system is being trained.
